Amy Ray and Emily Saliers have been doing it forever - dishing out folky rock as the Indigo Girls since 1985. Hell, they went to elementary school together in Georgia, so these two respected songwriters are certainly no strangers - even if their styles do differ. Saliers is the quieter, more abstract of the two - while Ray packs a punch. Friday, they'll fill the Pantages Theater with fans thirsty for homespun, authentic songwriting. It'll be like Lilith Fair all over again.
PREDICTION: The only awkward moment of the evening will come when Ray turns to Saliers and says, "Dammit! I told you I was going to wear my Hanes sweatshirt tonight!"
