Saturday, Aug. 21: So'Just 2010

Evergreen Tacoma Campus

By Volcano Staff on August 19, 2010

Call us assholes if you want, but most things done by The Evergreen State College's Tacoma campus feel a lot more real than things orchestrated on the school's better known Olympia campus. Nothing against weed butter, LaRouche and handmade dream catchers, but Evergreen Tacoma's So'Just 2010 festival of arts, music, dance, comedy and spoken word is way more legit.

Throughout the day entertainment will be continuous, hosted by the comic Uncle L. Included in the line-up of entertainment will be the hip-hop group 2012, singer Eva Sabiniano, the D.A.S.H. Dancers, poets Zach Williams and Charhys Bailey, harpist Katie Brennan, hip hop artists Q Sly, Timmie Foster and Dub AA, folk singer Jacki Ward, Americana artists Kristi and Steve Nebel, contortionist Lana C. McMullen, African Drum Rythyms, and the reggae band Laborer.

Check out the heart and soul of Tacoma's Geoducks on Saturday.
